A traffic officer took the stand in the Suva High Court in relation to the trial of a 28-year-old woman accused of causing death of an Australian woman in a road accident in May 2013.
Jessica Joan Hill is alleged to have caused the death of another driver when the vehicle she was driving was involved in an accident at Laucala Beach.
Today, prosecution witness Rakeshwar Singh told Judge Justice Salesi Temo that when he visited the accident scene, he saw that the left passenger tyre of a vehicle had burst.
Upon cross examination by DPP lawyer, Timoci Qalinauci, Singh told the court that it was dark that night however the streetlight in the middle of the round-about was bright.
He said he drew the sketch plan of the crime scene and called two tow trucks to tow both vehicles involved in the accident to LTA Valelevu.
He added that he then handed over the original document to the investigating officer.
The trial continues in the Suva High Court.
