The Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that it is expecting a total of 69 cruise ships to stop at Fiji’s main ports throughout this year.
A total of 72 cruise ships visited Fiji’s shores in 2017.
The Ministry has also revealed that a total of $2.2m was generated in the third quarter of 2017 from visitor arrivals on cruise liners compared to $3.2m generated for the same period in 2016.
It adds that hard work over the years by the relevant stakeholders is now reaping its benefits as it goes to show that ports in Fiji are attractive stops for the major cruise line operators.
