Tourism Fiji has appointed Cohn and Wolfe Impact Asia as its public relations agency in China.

The appointment of a public relations agency in China is part of Tourism Fiji’s comprehensive plan to better capitalize on the opportunities presented in the Chinese market.

Tourism Fiji Acting CEO Ken Freer said the Chinese market is a good opportunity for Fiji and appointing an agency of Cohn and Wolfes’s calibre will help boost the awareness of Fiji in this valuable and growing tourism market.

He said that Cohn and Wolfe is a leading international communication agency whose clients include global hotel companies and corporations.

He also said that they will be intending to open an office in Shanghai at the end of this year and will also appoint a Regional Director.

He added Fiji has not seen the recent explosive growth from China that many other destinations have experienced.

The Chinese market is responsible for around 25,000 visitor arrivals to Fiji annually.
