Fiji and Tonga’s relationship has never changed over the years.
Following an invitation from Fiji’s Foreign Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, the Prime Minister of Tonga Lord Siale’ataonga Tu’ivakano paid a visit to the Pacific Islands Forum today.
Lord Tu’ivakano said two things Tonga would like to strengthen between the two countries is maritime and economic development.
He said since Tonga has been under the PIDF for three years he found it a good opportunity to visit the complex, although it was not in his schedule.
He also said Tonga is glad for Fiji’s return to the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat.
