Jadeine Whiteside is the first Pacific Islands Fashion designer located in Shanghai, China and tonight she will showcasing her collection Hanisi’O at the Fiji Fashion Resort Luxe Show tonight.
The visual designer turned fashion designer says that through her collection she is able to bring awareness of global warming.
Whiteside says that with there being so much talent in the fashion industry the one challenge for her and other young designers is standing out.
Whiteside says being based in China she offers a select choice of designs that have been inspired from the Pacific Islands and have been tailored onto quality garments adding that all her textiles are creatively thought out and are based on Pacific designs and motifs.
Meanwhile other designers who will be showcasing their collection on the runway tonight include, Anton Conway Wye, Laisiasa Davetawalu, Hupfeld Hoerder, Robert Verebasaga, Letila Mitchell, Ellen Whippy-Knight and 2017 Designer of Year, Moira and David Solvalu.
Fiji Fashion Week Resort Luxe Show will begin at 7.30pm tonight.
