Three people have been charged with theft who allegedly colluded to steal fish products worth close to $7,000 from a fishing company at the Suva Miller’s Wharf earlier this week.
Police have released the fourth suspect who allegedly received stolen products.
Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigations, ACP Henry Brown says following an early morning raid yesterday, fish products consisting of whole fish, fish heads, and fillets were seized from a restaurant in Nakasi.
The three suspects are expected to appear in the Suva Magistrates Court tomorrow.
The theft of the products is alleged to have taken place on Wednesday whereby three of the suspects had colluded to steal the products before disposing them to the fourth suspect who owns a restaurant in Nakasi.
Two of three suspects are security personnel while one is an employee of the Solander Fishing Company.
