Thousands of people living along Suva, Nasinu and Nausori currently affected by water cuts

Thousands of people living in the elevated areas in parts of Suva, Nasinu and Nausori are currently affected by water cuts.

The areas affected are Tovata, Tuirara, Makoi, Davuilevu, Nakasi, Kalabu, Wakanisila, Valelevu, Delai-tokatoka, Rewa Delta, Nadera, Kinoya, Laucala Beach Estate, Vatuwaqa, Grantham Road, Nagatugatu, Tacirua, Dokanaisuva, Colo-I-Suva, Tamavua Village, Upper Ragg Avenue and Loloma Street.

This is due to a raw water pump failure at Waila Water intake.

Water Authority has confirmed that water carts will be on standby to service the affected areas.

Supply is expected to be restored by Friday evening.
