“This constitution is not for this government and was not put together by this government for FijiFirst.”

These were the comments of FijiFirst Leader, Voreqe Bainimarama while speaking at Veisaru Sanatan Dharam Primary School in Ba last night at the party campaign meeting.

Bainimarama said it seems all political parties are making the statement that this constitution is put together by the government for FijiFirst.

He said this is a lie and is wrong.

Meanwhile, Bainimarama also told the people that he cannot understand why people like Fiji Labour Party Leader, Mahendra Chaudhry, National Federation Party Leader, Professor Biman Prasad and People’s Democratic Party Leader, Felix Anthony are saying that they will bring back the Great Council of Chiefs.

Bainimarama said he cannot understand how the GCC will benefit the Indo Fijians.

He added that he can understand where SODELPA is coming from.

Speaking in front of over 600 people, Bainimarama stressed that the constitution has brought equality for all and the GCC never focused on equal citizenry.
