Unity Fiji Party candidate and former FijiFirst parliamentarian Alivereti Nabulivou says he with 10 others were not chosen as candidates for FijiFirst, and he is now raising concerns in Unity Fiji campaign meetings about his previous party because he can do so.
Nabulivou says he had first applied for candidacy with FijiFirst for this year’s general election, and was not given a reason why he was not chosen.
Nabulivou is now saying that there is no improvement in FijiFirst because of Number 2.
Fijivillage asked Nabulivou to clarify who he was referring to when he says Number 2
When Fijivillage asked him why he was raising issues about the FijiFirst now that he was not selected as a candidate and why he did not raise it over the last four years, Nabulivou says he now prefers Unity Fiji.
While speaking at a campaign meeting in Tacirua, Nabulivou said when he was with FijiFirst he was never given the chance to voice his concerns. He says his mouth was sealed with a bandage and everything was controlled.
Nabulivou adds that the current government has a soldier and a lawyer who both do not know how to lead.
He says he has forgotten everything and is now focusing on the future.
Nabulivou says that there was no fairness at all in FijiFirst and even those who received less votes were given Ministers’ positions. He says he and a few others in FijiFirst had more votes but did not get the chance to be given a ministerial portfolio and almost everything was handled by Voreqe Bainimarama and Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.
Nabulivou got 1,306 votes in 2014.
