University of Fiji Counselor Jone Veisamasama says we do not have professionally well trained counselors in Fiji and we have a big number of mental health issues at the age of 18 to 30 years.
Veisamasama was one of the individuals who got the certificates and $500 cheque in the 30 under 30 event today.
He wants to strive to create a culture of being aware of what mental health is about.
Veisamasama says that every action or emotion that we transmit to anybody should be based on empathy.
He also urges the youths to set goals and have a strong reason to achieve those goals.
