Minister for Education Rosy Akbar has highlighted that the newly appointed heads of schools performance is under scrutiny.
While speaking at the 123rd Fiji Principals Association Conference at Novotel, Lami today, Akbar says she met the Unions yesterday and this was one of the issue that was highlighted.
Akbar has asked the newly appointed heads of school to not disappoint them and that their six-month probation is coming up.
The Minister says that if they have not performed then some of their positions will be revoked adding that were appointed through the Open Merit Recruitment System.
She says they will provide the necessary leader support for the newly appointed heads school.
She encouraged them to talk to talk to heads of schools in their area for support.
Akbar also highlighted that there are some senior teachers who are disgruntled as they missed out on the Open Merit Recruitment System.
