The Queens Highway past Naboutini Village in Serua has been reduced to a single lane due to surface flooding caused by continuous rain.
Fiji Roads Authority and Police are monitoring the situation and may need to close the road if public safety is at risk.
Traffic Controllers and Police are currently directing traffic in this area.
Meanwhile, the Wainadoi Community Police Post and Navua Police are now monitoring the situation in the wider Navua, Serua and Namosi areas as rain continues to pour in heavily.
Police are currently on their rounds to check if there has been flooding in low lying areas and to assist those who may need to move to higher ground as a precautionary measure.
