A 29-year-old man in Thailand has been forced to apologise to the chickens he allegedly used to smuggle meth by shoving pills down their throat .
The man is accused of using a method of smuggling that involved shoving pills hidden inside condoms down the throats of the birds.
Each chicken took three condoms filled with ‘yaba’ tablets and one swallowed an ‘extra’ condom.
Police swooped on the suspect, who was transporting the chickens .
The animals had bulging stomachs, filled with 1,383 tablets, when they were spotted after the alleged smuggler started acting suspiciously.
The man was charged with drugs offences and animal cruelty and remains in custody.
Authorities are now extending the investigation to trace where the drugs were supplied from.
