Ten police officers will leave for a year of tour of duty under the UN mission in South Sudan this Saturday.
Five women are part of this group and it will be led by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Unaisi Vuniwaqa.
Commissioner of Police, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho says this is the first time such a high number of women officers are part of any contingent.
He has also urged the group to be humble and serve with the utmost level of professionalism.
Sixteen police officers are already serving in UN Missions around the world.
