Talks are currently ongoing at the Tailevu Provincial Council meeting for the Natadradave water to be purified and made safe for drinking.
This was confirmed to Fijivillage by the Roko Tui Tailevu Iliesa Delasau who says that they are having consultations with relevant authorities to get this confirmed.
Delasau says they will await the recommendations from the Water Authority of Fiji and the Ministry of Health on the best available option.
He says this will be done by experts with the help of the provincial council.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Minister for Health Alex O’Connor had earlier said that it is up to the people on whether they want to use the water from Natadradave for medicinal purposes.
