Talk on low liquidity levels is just rumour and gossip - PM

Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama says the rumoured low levels of bank liquidity that was started off by SODELPA MP, Lynda Tabuya are just gossip and an attempt to spread lies.

While speaking during the parliamentary debate of the 2019/2020 National Budget, Bainimarama says Tabuya is not a banker and is certainly no expert on the matter but what she lacks in economic experience, she makes up for it in her ability to spread gossip and rumours.

Bainimarama says this is economic sabotage at the highest level.

The Prime Minister says the banks have also come out publicly and stated that there is no liquidity crisis.
