The Nadi Weather Office says that Tropical Cyclone Mona does not pose any direct threat to Viti Levu or Vanua Levu as it tracks south, however the Cyclone is now affecting the southern Lau Group.
Cyclone Mona is expected to exit the southern Lau waters tomorrow evening into Wednesday morning.
A gale warning remains in force for Fulaga, Oneata, Moce, Komo, Kabara, Namuka and Ogea, Vatoa and Ono-i-Lau.
A strong wind warning remains in force for the land areas of the rest of Lau Group, Lomaiviti Group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
A heavy rain warning remains in force for the Lau Group.
Tropical Cyclone Mona was located about 200km east of Lakeba and about 280km southeast of Vanuabalavu at 1pm today.

Cyclone Mona is moving south-southeast at about 25km/hr.
Meanwhile, a flood warning remains in force for low lying areas in Naqali and near Bagata River in Vanua Levu.
Water levels in Naqali, Bagata and Rewa River are gradually decreasing.
