A Suva market vendor has won $30,000 after scratching a ‘magic golden sasa’ scratch ticket.
59-year-old Mereani Ledua of Newtown is a single mother who supports her family.
Ledua says life is a struggle, but she knew it would get better someday.
Each afternoon she would take her grandson to MH supermarket opposite the Suva market to scratch a $1.00 ticket, just to try their luck.
However, this time they had struck their luck to win themselves $30,000.
Ledua says when she realized that she had won, she was overjoyed and she also saw the biggest smile on her grandson’s face.
Fiji Tattslotto Resident Executive Director Graeme Brown confirmed the lucky magic golden sasa as the winning ticket.
