A Suva businesswoman has pleaded not guilty to two counts of bribery in the Suva Magistrates Court.
FICAC had charged Anita Ranjini Mala earlier this year for allegedly offering bribes to two officers of the Ministry of Labour.
It is alleged that Mala, while being the owner of Celcius Fire Protection and Pest Control offered an advantage of $500 to $800 to a Ministry of Labour Inspector on account of the officer performing an act in the capacity of a public servant.
It is also alleged that Mala, on another occasion, without reasonable excuse, offered an advantage of $500 to a Technical officer of the Ministry of Labour on account of the officer performing an act as a public servant.
Mala was represented by lawyer Jiten Reddy.
The matter has been adjourned to 2nd November.
