The Suva High Court has refused the bail application of Imshad Ali who allegedly murdered his partner in 2009.
Judge Justice, Vincent Perera said that Ali was initially released on bail and was allowed to go to India to get medical treatment however he did not return.
Justice Perera said that Ali absconded his bail conditions and the authorities in India deported him to Fiji.
He told Ali that there are chances that he will repeat the same.
Ali asked the court if he could be taken to the CWM Hospital for a check up because he has diabetes and he had collapsed at the remand centre.
Justice Perera ordered the officers to take him to the hospital.
Ali allegedly strangled a 34-year-old kindergarten teacher to death inside their Howell Road home.
The case is adjourned to 18th of next month.
