Suspected Dengue like symptoms reported

Suspected Dengue like symptoms have been reported which is yet to be confirmed by Ministry of Health.

Ministry of Health and Medical Services Spokesperson Sunil Chandra said blood samples have been sent for testing to Australia and the Ministry is awaiting results.

Health Ministry is once again reminding the public to continue clean-ups as we are currently facing the rainy season that gives an opportune time for dengue mosquitoes to breed.

The Health Ministry further urges the public to search and destroy all potential water-collecting structures around surroundings regularly.

Meanwhile, more than 28,000 people were positively diagnosed and 14 deaths were recorded throughout Fiji with type 3 dengue virus by end of the dengue outbreak this year.
