High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo has ordered 34‑year‑old Binesh Prasad to look for a lawyer within five weeks.
Prasad is charged with five counts of murder, one count of arson, one count of attempted murder and one count of damaging property.
It is alleged that Prasad deliberately set fire to a house at Navosai in Nasinu in October last year.
Five people including a 10‑year‑old child died in the horrific fire.
Prasad has been further remanded in custody
The case will be called on the 19th of next month.
The trial date has also been fixed which will take place from the 30th January to 10th February, next year.
