Supervisor of Elections and 11 FEO staff to join Foreign Election Management Body Officials Course in Korea

Eleven Fijian Elections Office staff including the Supervisor of Elections will join the Foreign Election Management Body Officials Course in Seoul, Korea from the 19th to the 31st of this month.

Mohammed Saneem says the course includes an overview of the National Election Commission of Korea, candidate registration and election campaigns, voting management, practising Election ICT and counting management.

Saneem highlights they will also observe pre-polling, election campaign, voting and counting of a by-election that will be held in Korea on the 28th of this month.

He adds the international visit is to train people and implement the best practices into our current systems.

Saneem says they are working on a MOU with Indonesia, India and Russia to have other international visits.
