Sugarcane farmers will be paid $10.57 per tonne in their 4th cane payment this Friday.
This has been confirmed by Fiji Sugar Corporation Chief Operating Officer, Navin Chandra.
Chandra says they are working with industry partners such as the Sugar Growers Fund and South Pacific Fertilisers so that no industry deductions are done to allow farmers to can get the maximum payout and get ready to harvest.
The crushing season will start next month.
The Labasa Sugar Mill will open on the 1st of next month while the Lautoka and Rarawai Mills will open on the 6th and 7th of next month.
