72 percent of students that graduate from the University of the South Pacific find full time or part time employment four months after their graduation.
Speaking at the USP Open Day, Vice Chancellor Professor Rajesh Chandra says this is only two percent below the rates of Australian graduates.
Minister for Economy and Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum opened the USP Open Day today.
He says the government is investing in the Education sector because it wants to ensure that it has good qualified people that will attract investment in Fiji.
He called on students to choose an area of study they are passionate about saying that the government has put in place initiatives under the Tertiary Education Loans Scheme to support them.
The USP Open Day will finish at 5 this afternoon.
