Students of Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland have been told not to wear a hijab or a headscarf because it violates its dress code.
The students wanted to wear a hijab to support the Muslim community following the Christchurch terror attack.
The Principal of the school had told staff that visible religious items, including the hijab, were against school policy.
