Students from Central and Eastern Divisions were in numbers at the Suva Grammar School hall today to take part in essay and poetry competition as part of the National Climate Change Week.
Students from various schools came with their posters and were wearing costumes that signifies climate change and how it is affecting Fiji and the world as a whole.
The theme for the competition is Leadership, Action and COP 23.
Ratu Sukuna Memorial School’s Year 9 student, Iva Nawatu stood up with a clear message that no matter what we do, we have to think about our future.
The competition was also held at Natabua High School for the Western Division and at Labasa College for the Northern Division.
Winners from each division will then compete at National level next Friday.
