Some students crossing along Brown Street earlier this afternoon escaped serious injuries after unsecured concrete blocks were falling off the tray of a Kasabias Limited truck.
The incident happened after 3 this afternoon.
The concrete blocks which landed on the road blocked one lane along Brown Street.
People then had to assist a Kasabias employee to pick up the blocks and clear the road.
No was one was injured.
When asked about the incident, CEO of Kasabias Limited Chaminda Waninayake says the concrete blocks were properly tied up however they are not sure how it fell off the truck.
He says they will be doing further investigations so that it does not happen again.
