60 students from different schools are delighted to be part of the Student Parliament Workshop which is currently underway at the Nasinu campus of Fiji National University.
A Year 13 student of Vunimono High School, Patrick Sharma says that it gives them a better opportunity to enhance their speaking ability in the public.
Sharma says that if given the opportunity he will choose to be in the opposition side speaking on the topic of making E- learning compulsory in all schools.
Another Year 12 student from Adi Cakobau Secondary School, Joyce Seruiratu says that the workshop gives her a better understanding of politics and the sessions progress in the Parliament.
Seruiratu says she would choose the Government side and if given the opportunity she will speak on the ways of curbing teenage prostitution.
These sixty students will have a parliament sitting with the Speaker of Parliament, Doctor Jiko Luveni tomorrow.
Topics such as Gender equality in sports, NCD's and teenage pregnancy will also be presented as a bill in the Parliament sitting tomorrow.
The leaders for the two student parties will be chosen this afternoon.
