A prominent school in Suva is now investigating an incident which led to a junior student receiving an injury after a confrontation with a senior student on Tuesday.
The Year 10 student had to be taken to the hospital by his parents.
The school principal has told Fijivillage that he is looking into the issue.
He says it is taking time to deal with the issue at the moment because the students involved are sitting for their exams.
The principal says they will have to talk to both students before considering further action.
We have been told that the confrontation between the students occurred after an alleged theft.
An item belonging to the junior student was allegedly stolen.
When the junior student told prefects about the issue, the senior student who allegedly stole the track shoes confronted the junior student inside a classroom.
This led to the senior student pushing the junior student who then fell and hit his head on a desk.
He has been released from hospital.
