Strong winds that was accompanied with rain that was experienced in parts of the Central Division was caused by a trough of low pressure that has weakened from last night.
The Nadi Weather Office has confirmed that the trough that was associated with rain is now situated to the West of Matuku in the Southern Lau Group.
It says that this poses no immediate threat to the group.
The Weather Office has also confirmed that there is another trough of low pressure that is situated towards the North of the country.
This may impact the country later today.
Meanwhile, a flood alert that was previously issued has been cancelled.
