Strong wind warning in force for all Fiji waters

A strong wind warning remains in force for the land areas of Southern Lau.

A trough of low pressure lies slow moving over the eastern parts of Fiji and associated cloud and showers affects the group.

Expect rough seas with southeasterly winds of 40 to 50 km per hour gusting to 60 km per.

People can expect occasional rain and a few thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Kadavu, northern Lau and Lomaiviti group, and the eastern parts and interior of the other larger islands.

Isolated heavy falls may lead to flash flooding.

Cyclone Donna is currently over northern Vanuatu.

Fiji is not directly threatened by Tropical Cyclone Donna, however associated strong winds will affect Fiji waters.
