Stamp of the Year of the Rooster launched today

The Chinese Cultural Centre in Fiji together with Post Fiji Limited launched the stamp of the Year of the Rooster today.

The Chinese calendar 2017 marks the Year of the Rooster which is a symbol of integrity, punctuality, promising future and good luck.

While speaking at the launch, Ambassador of China to Fiji Zhang Ping says this is an auspicious year for China and Fiji Cultural Exchange.

Ping says this year’s Rooster stamps inherited the same style as last year which integrates both the Chinese and Fijian cultural element symboling the close cultural connection.

Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Mereseini Vuniwaqa says the relationship between Fiji and China dates back in history and culture with strong economic, diplomatic, cultural and educational ties.
