Special taskforce teams setup to address serious robbery cases

Three special taskforce teams headed by Divisional Crime Officers have been setup to specifically look into serious cases of aggravated robberies and theft.

Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Henry Brown says the setting up of the taskforce in the 3 divisions has been done to pull resources together and help solve undetected cases.

ACP Brown says due to the challenge of having adequate resources, this will enable them to have a coordinated effort and conduct investigations efficiently.

He says the trend they are noting is that these are organized groups who are choosing their targets well and they want to disrupt them through these cohesive operations.

ACP Brown stresses that they continue to advise members of the public and the business community to adopt safety measures as they are limited in numbers and cannot be everywhere.
