A special Christmas lunch will be organised for inmates at the Correction facilities in Suva and Naboro this Saturday where the inmates will also get an opportunity to spend time with their family members.
The Deputy Commissioner of Fiji Corrections Service SP Apimeleki Taukei says they had organised Christmas lunch for inmates last week in other parts of the country and the same will take place in the Central Division this weekend.
He says they are hoping that the family members will observe the rules and regulations in regards to security when they are given the opportunity to spend time with their loved ones in the prison.
Taukei says they have had situations where family members brought contraband items to the prison facilities.
The family members will get the whole day with the inmates on Saturday at the Suva and Naboro Correction facilities.
