Parliamentarians from across the region are meeting in Fiji this week for the 25th Asia‑Pacific Parliamentary Forum hosted by the Speaker of Parliament Doctor Jiko Luveni.
The five‑day gathering at the Intercontinental Resort and Spa in Natadola is to discuss parliamentary partnerships for peace and security which are one of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Delegations from about 25 countries are attending including delegates from the US, Russia, China, Japan and Indonesia as well as New Zealand, Australia and the Marshall Islands.
