The first ever 25 solar streetlights have been installed in Nailaga, Ba by the Fiji Roads Authority.
FRA says the project took around 22 weeks to manufacture, deliver and install the streetlights which are 100 percent solar.
FRA has stated that they are installing 867 streetlights between Lami to Sigatoka and these are expected to be completed by June this year.
Meanwhile along the Ba to Nausori corridor there will be 1600 streetlights installed and it is expected to be completed by June this year.
FRA has also stated that they are currently in the process of installing 124 streetlights in Navua.
