Six-year-old Saphira Sami will join Kindergarten next year after a successful surgery in India last month with the help of the Vodafone Fiji Foundation.
Sami had 18 holes and multiple murmurs in her heart but after the 7 inch operation the six-year-old is now living a normal life.
The six-year-old’s mother Monika Sami said when her daughter used to vomit, could not eat, had frequent high fever and increased heart beat she used to blame herself.
Monika said when she was pregnant she was vomiting and not eating right and she thought that was why her daughter was suffering.
The cost of individual treatment ranges from $18,000 to $22,000 depending on the complexity and nature of treatment.
