Police Commissioner, Sitiveni Qiliho has completed his visit to the People’s Republic of China with a visit to the Yunnan Police College where he held discussions with senior officials of the College on future directions for training opportunities for Fiji Police officers.
The Commissioner was accorded a guard of honour upon his arrival at the Institute.
Qiliho also visited the Yunnan Public Security Department which plays a leading role in anti‑narcotics policing and training and this has enable him to discuss future cooperation in this critical area of policing.
Qiliho and his team then visited a checkpoint located outside Kunming city to witness how officers were clearing travelers entering Yunnan from neighboring countries.
The Commissioner has thanked the Ministry of Public Security, the Embassy of China in Fiji and the Fiji Embassy in Beijing for facilitating the visit.
