Single mother receives cheque through SPBD loan

A single mother of Muana in Toga, Rewa who struggled to make a living says nothing is too hard if you strive further.

48-year-old Loame Dugu was handed a cheque of over a thousand dollars to purchase hardware items from RC Manubhai, through the South Pacific Business Development by way of a loan.

Today RC Manubhai Director, Ashok Patel and Founder and President of SPBD, Gregory Casagrande signed an agreement to empower women by building their businesses and improving their homes.

Dugu a mother of one says she joined the Micro Finance five years ago and applied for a loan and since then she has been enjoying selling food packs in Nausori town and also selling her flowers like anthurium, ginger and roses.

Dugu says with the money she saves from her little business, she has managed to pay for her 21-year-old daughter’s education who is a second year student at the Nursing school.

The hardware materials will be used to construct her bathroom and toilet.
