The Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed that a single lane on Kings road from Kinoya Road Junction to Valelelvu grounds will be closed from 12pm today to 2pm for the Hibiscus Opening Float Procession.
FRA Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Moore says that only the Nausori bound lane will be closed to traffic on Kings Road.
He says other roads that will be closed due to the float procession include, Kinoya Road, Daniva Road and Saqa Road.
Motorists are requested to take the road closures into account when finalising their travel plans.
Meanwhile Miss Suva City Council, Simran Nand has won the Best Research Award.
There are 12 contestants vying for the Hibiscus crown this year.
The Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus festival will start at 12pm today at the Valelevu grounds.
