A long-time dream has come true came for a single father who has been struggling to make ends meet after being given the key to his new car from Nissy Nassiff the Director of Wiping Tears Charitable Foundation.
John Soso a Fijian national who has lived in Australia since 2008 after his daughter Judith was diagnosed with brain tumor said that he had always wished to own a car and become an Uber driver to better support his family.
Soso lost his wife in 2010 to breast cancer.
Soso was approached by Nassiff almost a year ago after a close friend of Wiping Tears Director introduced Soso to Nassiff.
So far since last year the Wiping Tears Charitable Foundation has spent around $30,000 to pay for the family’s unpaid rent and medicals bills and now topped up by the addition of the new vehicle.
Soso says with the support his family is receiving, he will make sure to be prepared and move forward with hard work to ensure that whatever support his family has been given does not go to waste.
His daughter Judith is still going through operation due to health complications after the removal of the tumor.
Nassiff now hopes to find Soso a new job and is 100% sure that the car has gone to the right family.
