Searching for a comfortable place to rest after a long day at the Sigatoka Market will now be a thing of the past for the market vendors.

The Special Administrator for Sigatoka, Jay White said the newly built accommodation that has its own bathroom, toilet and kitchen will accommodate up to 30 vendors per night.

White said they are looking forward to the official opening so that they are able to accommodate majority of the vendors who are mostly women of Nadroga and Navosa.

He said vendors will be requested to pay $2.50 per night.

White also said other upgrades at the Sigatoka Market include the refurbishment of the public toilets.

He added the project has cost more than $200,000 which was funded by the Ministry of Local Government and through the Challenge Fund.
