Sigatoka Town and the market area are flooded.
Residents have confirmed to Fijivillage that workers from some of the shops in town are being sent home because of flooding.
The Police Western Command Centre has confirmed that they have officers on the ground in Sigatoka who are working with families living in low lying areas due to the current weather situation.
Police say the road beside Tappoos in Sigatoka is flooded due to poor drainage system.
