The Shree Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji will meet the Commissioner of Police and the Attorney General to raise serious concerns over another case of sacrilege at a Hindu temple in Nausori.
Sabha National President Sarju Prasad says the National Council has had a meeting and a delegation is now being prepared to meet the Commissioner of Police and the Attorney General to see what measures can be taken to curb this type of behaviour.
He says the act carried out at the temples is unacceptable.
Four men broke into Vishnu Bhavan Temple in Sasawira early Tuesday morning.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro has said they have received initial information that four men were seen breaking into the temple.
It is understood that they were looking for money.
The identities of the four men are unknown at this stage.
This is the third temple break-in in the last few weeks as people also broke into Tirath Dham Temple in Votualevu, Nadi and a temple in Waila late last month.
In the other cases, swear words were written and idols were also damaged.
