Shayal Shishtika concerned about people cutting down trees unnecessarily

One of the contestants in the Fiji Airways Farmers Carnival is concerned about people cutting down trees unnecessarily.

20-year-old Shayal Shishtika is advocating about the importance of trees in life in the carnival which is focused on the theme “Climate Change its impact on Farmers and Agriculture”.

Shishtika who is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Economics at the University of Fiji is one of the 10 Queen contestants.

The Farmers Carnival is being held at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

It will finish this Saturday.
