Several reports of police being attacked were recorded last week.
A team of 20 Police Officers from the Police Special Response Unit based in Nasinu were deployed to Kadavu on Saturday after officers were stoned and threatened during a drug raid in Levuka, Yale.
A group of officers based at the Vunisea Police Station were working on information about the illegal cultivation of marijuana and upon reaching the farm they were attacked with stones and threatened by three men.
One was arrested at the scene while two fled.
Chief of Operations ACP Rusiate Tudravu says if you want to attack police officers who are simply doing their work in making your communities safe, keep in mind that they have the resources and capabilities to get to wherever you are.
A raid was conducted afterwards and close to 1000 plants were seized from the first farm with the team expected to move to the other two farms today.
Police continue to search for the other two men.
In another incident on Saturday, a female Corporal was escorting a victim of an assault when she was allegedly assaulted by a 32-year-old man who was intoxicated.
On the same day, a Police Constable was allegedly assaulted while attending to a report of youths reported to be loitering and smoking at Falvey Road Raiwaqa.
However, the suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
Meanwhile, a Police Constable who was attending to a report of a fight in progress was allegedly assaulted by a man who was caught up in the commotion yesterday at Kimberly Street in Suva.
