The establishment of seven other Technical College Campuses in Fiji will start in January next year.
This was highlighted by the Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts Mahendra Reddy in Parliament today after he was questioned by MP Balmindar Singh to provide updates on the seven technical schools around the country.
Reddy said that they have received approval from the landowners in Bua to convert the Nawaqa Primary School into a technical school.
He also mentioned that they are planning to shift approximately 60 students from Navualevu Vocational School to Nadogo Primary School to convert it into another Technical School in Wainikoro, Labasa.
Reddy said that they are having talks with Nadroga/Navosa School and Lautoka School managements to establish a technical school in those areas.
The Minister also said that they have written to school managements in Rakiraki, Tavua and Nausori.
