Senior Officer tasked to investigate robber’s death

Police Commissioner Ben Groenewald has tasked a senior officer from his office to look into the passing away of one of the suspects involved in the robbery at the City Foreign Exchange in Nadi on Friday.

Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said the suspect passed away last night at the Lautoka Hospital.

Sokomuri said another suspect is still admitted in hospital. 

Five men were involved in the $50,000 robbery from City Forex Foreign Exchange.

One of them Senitieli Boila appeared in court and has been remanded.

Boila is charged with one count of aggravated robbery.

Police say two are still on the run.
