While accessibility to education is one of the factors affecting educational attainment, the self‑confidence to fight challenges and get educated is the biggest element.
This was highlighted by the Education Minister Doctor Mahendra Reddy while Officiating a hand-over of Braille Eye Slate at Nadi Special School this morning.
Reddy says these slates have been specifically designed to aid the visually impaired in their learning by Nikhil Singh and Vinaal Prakash, as part of their final year project in Undergraduate Engineering programme at USP.
Reddy says he is sure that this tool will certainly boost the communication skills and techniques of the users which in the long term will support their educational and career needs.
